What is actually here

The main body of the site is 13 money guides: 7 on home equity lines of credit and home equity loans, and 6 on student loan repayment and refinancing. Each one works through a single decision in full, with a calculator where a calculator helps and a sources list at the bottom.

Alongside those sit 20 general calculators covering percentages, interest, dates and basic maths, and 16 unit converters for the conversions people run most often. That converter set used to be far larger. In August 2026 we removed roughly a thousand automatically generated pages, because a page that exists only to match a search query and tells the reader nothing is not worth publishing.

How the numbers are produced

Conversion factors are exact international definitions rather than rounded approximations. The inch is exactly 2.54 centimetres and the pound is exactly 0.45359237 kilograms, both fixed by the 1959 international yard and pound agreement. Where a unit name is ambiguous, such as gallon, cup or fluid ounce, the page states which definition it uses instead of quietly picking one.

Every calculator prints its formula and its assumptions underneath the result. If a calculator ignores fees, assumes a fixed rate, or returns a lending ceiling rather than an approval, the page says so. Our editorial standards page sets out our sourcing rules and how to report an error.

Who writes it

Guides are published under the MetriqaHub Editorial Team byline. We are not lenders, brokers, financial advisers, accountants or attorneys, we hold no professional licence, and nothing on this site is personalised advice. Where a decision turns on your particular circumstances we say so and point you to someone qualified to assess them.

How the site is funded

MetriqaHub is free to use and carries no registration or paywall. It is funded by advertising, and in future by affiliate arrangements with financial providers. Where we would be paid if you act on a link, that will be disclosed on the page where it appears. No advertiser reviews our guides before publication or influences what they conclude.

What we collect

We do not ask you to register and we do not require any personal detail to use a calculator. Calculations run in your browser and we do not store the figures you enter.

We do use analytics to understand which pages are read, and the site carries third party advertising, both of which set cookies and collect usage data. We would rather state that plainly than describe ourselves as privacy focused while doing it. The privacy policy sets out what is collected and by whom.

Corrections

If a figure here is wrong we want to know. Write to us through the contact page with the page and what you believe is incorrect. We check reports against the primary source and correct the page where the report is right.
